Shuswap Lake is a year round vacation destination located in the Okanagan-Shuswap district of Beautiful British Columbia. This area is one of the most popular recreational destinations in BC. The approx. 400 km of shoreline contains many provincial parks and offers unlimited water related recreational opportunities. The surrounding mountains provide trails for cross country skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking and hiking.

For three weeks in October the Adams River Salmon run can bee seen from the look-outs at Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park . Millions of spawning sockeye salmon miraculously return from the Pacific Ocean to the Adams River to complete their life cycle. The salmon run occurs every year, though every fourth year (2006, 2010) is a peak year with substantially more fish returning.
